So much data is concerned with surficial features and satellite images. Though terrestrial maps are very important and wicked cool, you can't see the ocean floor with a satellite. I want to look into bathymetry, side-scan sonar and other methods currently used to map the sea floor. How do they work, where do they send information and how is a bouncing beam of energy converted to a feature class on ArcMap?
